RB26 Bare Block - 3D Scan
RB26 Bare Block - 3D Scan
An RB26 swap lives or dies on what bolts to the block. Design the mounts, sump and brackets on the real thing.
This is a full 3D scan of the bare OEM Nissan RB26 standard engine block, delivered as an STL for your CAD or reverse-engineering software. Use it to lay out engine mounts, sumps, accessory brackets and anything else that has to bolt to or clear the block.
A block is too big and too complex to measure with calipers and a tape. The scan gives you the casting, the bolt bosses and the bore positions in one file, so the bracket you design is the bracket that fits.
Scanned in-house by Ichiban Engineering, a CNC shop in Bangkok. Volumetric accuracy is 0.1 mm.
This is a raw scan mesh. It's not watertight and not a solid CAD model, so model over it rather than machining from it. The water jacket passages inside the casting aren't captured.
